Diet
Provide a mix of food specifically labeled for Rats, and also include something hard for them to chew on. They enjoy foods of different textures and sizes.

Cage Requirements
A ten-gallon aquarium works extremely well combined with a lid, water bottle, food dish, pine bedding, and an exercise wheel. Provide them with lots of hiding spaces and things to crawl through and chew on.

1. There are four main varieties of rats: standard, dumbo, hairless, and tail-less.
2. Rats are actually very clean and will spend a good part of their day cleaning themselves.
3. Rats have limited sight ability and rely mainly on their sense of smell and hearing.
