Diet
Hedgehogs are classified as insectivores. Their diet should include a variety of hedgehog and cat foods along with fresh fruits, vegetables and cooked meats.

Cage Requirements
A cage with a floor area of 16x24 works best. Also provide a water bottle, food dish, and hiding place.

1. As a sign of contentment, Hedgehogs will purr and whistle.
2. Hedgehogs are diurnal, meaning they are awake for part of the day and part of the night.
3. The Hedgehog is the original weather forecaster, previous to the groundhog, that has now taken its place.
