Description
These soft, cuddly critters make great beginning pets. There are several kinds of hamsters, each unique in it color pattern. The larger of the varieties tend to do well alone, while the dwarf species are more social and do better in groups.

Provide a mix of food specifically labeled for Hamsters, and also include something hard for them to chew on.

Cage Requirements
A ten-gallon aquarium works extremely well combined with a lid, water bottle, food dish, pine bedding, and an exercise wheel. Provide them with lots of hiding spaces and things to crawl through and chew on.
