Origin and History
The Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goat is of West African origin, and also known as the "Cameroon Dwarf," a domesticated breed raised for centuries by West African tribal people. It was imported to the United States in the 1950's and is a popular choice for many people due to its size and temperament.
Description
Physical
The main colors are black, white, chocolate, red and gold, with many varying shades and pattern combinations in between. Dwarves are bred to have the length of body and structure, in proportion, of a dairy goat. Nigerians have a calm, even temperament making them ideal for children, the elderly, and disabled.
