Amazona amazonica

Description
These are such sweet birds! One of the smallest of the Amazons, and they are great talkers.
length: 16-21 inches.
weight: about 14 ounces.

They also eat a variety of sprouts, seeds, nuts, fruits, vegetables, and commercial pellets, as well as the same nutritional foods humans eat. Fresh fruits and vegetables such as peas, carrots, tomatoes, apples, and bananas are always a welcome food supplement for your amazon. It is also a good idea to provide a mineral block for them to chew on. Items to avoid: avocado, grapefruit, green beans, all forms of cabbage, lemons, plums, raw and green potatoes, rhubarb, and dried fruits that have been treated with sulphur dioxide.
