Diet
Always provide your bird with fresh water daily. Vitamin fortified pellets or seed labeled for Cockatoos is the recommended staple for these birds. They also eat a variety of sprouts, seeds, nuts, fruits, vegetables, and commercial pellets, as well as the same nutritional foods humans eat. Fresh fruits and vegetables such as peas, carrots, tomatoes, apples, and bananas are always a welcome food supplement for your Cockatoo. It is also a good idea to provide a mineral block for them to chew on. Items to avoid: avocado, grapefruit, green beans, all forms of cabbage, lemons, plums, raw and green potatoes, rhubarb, and dried fruits that have been treated with sulphur dioxide.
