Fresh fruits and vegetables such as peas, carrots, tomatoes, apples, and bananas are always a welcome food supplement for your parrot. Items to avoid: avocado, grapefruit, green beans, all forms of cabbage, lemons, plums, raw and green potatoes, rhubarb, and dried fruits that have been treated with sulphur dioxide. Also provide a calcium block or gravel with oyster shell in it in a separate dish.
Cage Requirements
Be sure to provide a cage with plenty of room for your bird(s) to test their wings. A cage that is approximately 20"x20"x24" (20 inches long, by 20 inches deep, and 24 inches high) is the minimum size recommended for one bird.
